Five Ways to Improve Your Website

Hello Everyone,

I have a new post for all of you about five ways to improve your website. I hope you enjoy this, and take a little bit of time to sit down and reflect upon how these things can help your website.

1) Your Design. Many people often underestimate the importance of their website design. Take a look at the colors and check to see if they all work together, and if their all useful.

2) Number of Ads. People won't like it if you have a ridiculous number of advertisements all over your website and the various parts of your website.

3) Widgets. Keep your widgets to a minimum and on the sidebars. Too many widgets can give a distraction to people who are reading your website, and trying to enjoy your article.

4) Text Size. The Text Size of an article is extremely important. If the text size is so small that people can't really see it or understand it it will be useless as a result.

5) Your Marketing Strategy. Your marketing strategy must revolve around each individual post. On top of marketing your entire website, you must also market each individual post and use important keywords from the title in order to help market your website.

I hope you guys all enjoy this post and find it useful in order to help improve your website and your marketing techniques.

5 Mistakes Apple Has Made

Hello Everyone,

First, I would like to say sorry once again for the less regular posts, but I promise I'm working on it:)... anyway, here is a new post about five things which you can learn from apple. I hope you enjoy it.

1) Stock Up.
While apple built 10 million Iphone 5, any economist could of told you that they would probably sell more. However, because they weren't prepared, they didn't make enough and as a result sold out rather quickly. If they had made an extra 15 million or so, they would be a lot better off right now.

2) Their Maps App.
Seriously, it's not like they don't have the resources. Before they ever dared release it, they should of put a good amount of more time into it in order to make it a lot nicer and work a lot more efficiently.

3) Durability.
How many times have you guys had your Ipod or Iphone screens fall and crack? They should come up with a way to make their products a lot more durable, or offer cheaper, easier to use replacement screens to make people's lives easier.

4) Battery.
If you've ever seen one of the newer mac book pro's, I'm sure one of the first things you will notice is how hard it is to remove the battery compared to most traditional pc's. On top of that, the replacement batteries which they offer don't seem very good. They really need to make batteries easier to change and nicer replacement batteries.

5) Not so easily damaged products.
Many of apples products can be easily damaged or affected because of a simple drop. They should (relating to the durability section), step up the strength of their products to make their products a lot more efficient, and easier to use.

I hope you enjoyed this post about 5 mistakes apple has made, and maybe you can learn from them!

Importance of Choosing the Right Ad Network

Hello Everyone,
This is a new post about the importance of choosing the correct advertising network. The reason for this is if the visitor clicking the ad and leaving is really worth the profit received to you?.

Many networks like adsense provide you $0.50-$1/click which in my opinion is worth the visitor leaving you since the majority of the time they will come back. However when you start looking at the smaller networks (pretty much any PPC besides Adsense to be honest), you're now looking at websites that pay you $0.01/click. In my opinion that's not really worth a customer leaving.

Therefore, it is extremely important to choose the right network and be able to recognize whether you're getting a good deal or being ripped of because the money you're getting is not worth your visitors leaving.

Hoped you enjoyed this short post, and I'll make sure to write a new one soon!

Why you should not have to many banner ads?

Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the delays in posting, but high school is harder than middle school-:). Anyway I'll do my best to keep posting regularly and that's why during the summer I sat down and wrote my ideas for the next year of posts (by the way it's extremely effective and I recommend you do it too).

Anyway, with that all set aside here's my next post about why you should not have too many banner ads on you're website. Often times banner ads are included on most if not all sites. This site does not have them because I decided that they do not pay me enough for the amount of viewers they take away from my site with each click (something you should consider, but that is for a later post).

Anyway, ignoring that, first we need to look at the fundamentals. What is a banner ad. Well, I don't count text ads as "banner ads" even though some do so excluding that a banner ad is a large image that advertises a product/website and when clicked takes you to that product/website.

The goal of people who purchase banner ads are to get people to view their website which is why many banner ads are pay per click so they are promised viewers.

So with that let's look at two reasons why you shouldn't have banner ads.

1) It takes away from your sites look and content. One of my pet-peeves for visiting websites, forums especially is to have to scroll down to view the content because their are so many banner ads on top. I generally disregard those sites and not visit. You don't want you're viewers doing that too you.

2) They don't pay well. Most banner ads are pay to click. Which means having ten banner ads vs. two does slightly increase the chance of someone seeing something they like and clicking but it angers people more than it pays. Having two simple banner ads will still get you some money from your viewers and keep them happy which is a win win.

That is all for this article, I hope you guys enjoy, and make sure to be careful when placing to many banner ads. If you don't know if you have too many feel free to email me at runescapewebs@gmail.com to see what I think!

I'm looking forward to hearing what you think and reading your comments below!

Importance of Easy to Access Content

Hello Everyone,
It's time for another post. This post is about the importance of easy to access content in the online world.

It is extremely important to always have easy to access content on you're website. The reason for always having easy to access is that you're readers always want to be able to find out what they need and quickly.

Many websites just show the most recent articles without any way of seeing the older articles unless you spend lots of time searching google for things like that or searching their history.

Therefore something I highly recommend is using a system like labels (what we use) a search function or a convenient way that lists all you're articles. You can also try making an archive page on your website where you list the titles of all your articles and a link there.

Lastly many websites have a archive app on the sidebar that shows all the articles and when they were written allowing people to access them. Summary of the story is you need to make all you're content easily available.

Thanks for reading this and I hope you enjoyed. We have many more articles coming soon as I have just written down ideas for the next 120+ articles.

Take A Break-:).

Hello Everyone,
I'm Back-:). You may of noticed that their weren't any posts for the last few weeks because I took a vacation to Europe. When I was their I did not have internet access because I did not bring my computer and also they had differently shaped plugs so I couldn't properly plug in my Ipod which gave me no charge...

Ok, however after coming back their were some very interesting things which I found out. My traffic maintained pretty much the same except for the last 2-3 days it started dropping.

However it gave me some great insight into my traffic stats and how all of that worked. It allowed me to view what my visitors were interested in how the stats worked and how all of that worked.

It also allow me to analyze what happened to my traffic over a period with no posts and no direct marketing of my site leaving what I already had up. It helped allow me to learn some great things:).

So for this post my recommendation is take a break from it all. Take a break from the hectic marketing and posting of running a website and doing all kinds of work like that.

Just take a week or two off your website don't do anything at all. Don't do marketing blogging or checking it but it may be a good idea to let you're readers know what you're doing beforehand so they don't get angry or disappointed with you. I forgot to do that so that's my fault but other than that I learned some great things that will help me in the future.

So good luck with this and let me know how it goes by leaving a comment or emailing it at runescapewebs@gmail.com.

Thanks,
Cameron

Five Ways To Fight Writers Block

Hello Everyone,
Nice to see you all again. Today I have a new post for all of you about five ways to fight writers block. I hope you enjoy this post.

To start, what is writers block? Writer's block often occurs to many people who own a blog or website and commonly blog. What it means is when you're trying to write an article and you run out of ideas to write an article about. Here are "Five Ways To Fight Writers Block".

1) Read Another Blog About Your Niche: When you're reading another blog about your niche than you can get some ideas about what readers expect in a blog about your niche. That can help you can get ideas about what you should write to your readers about.

2) Sit On The Couch...: ... and brainstorm. Just sit their and think about your website. Think about marketing think about things you've learned and then after you do hat just try to brainstorm a few ideas. Every time I do this I always get 4-5 ideas.

3) Look at Niche Forums: When you look at niche related forums you can see what questions people often have about various things related to your niche. Once you see what questions they have you can try to write a post and see what questions they have.

4) Build a niche related list: Everyone loves lists. 100 ways to market your website, 50 do follow sites, 5 ways to fight writers block. People often love lists and find them very useful.

5) Think of What You Want: Many people who write about a niche also read about their niche. Think about when you're reading about you're niche what else you think is useful. Once you have figured out what is useful, you can take that and write about it to figure things out.

That is all for your post. I hope you enjoyed this post and find it useful. Let me know what you think via. comments.
