This is a simple topic yet it is something people are looking for answers in which is why I will explain it too you. Pop up ads normally requires one major factor. They require you to have a good amount of traffic. While they do pay decently the reason I recommend you do not use them is that they can commonly inconvenience the reader.
Many readers hate it when they are beginning to be 'indulged' into the content, yet in the middle of their reading an ad pops up that distracts them. This can be especially detrimental for sites like mine where people 'know' why the ad is their and also know that I am willing to hurt them in exchange for a few pennies (doesn't sound fair does it).
I mean imagine if google had pop-up ads for everything you searched do you honestly think they would have gotten anywhere? This can cause you to lose a lot of your reading space. If you get enough views to sign up for a Pop-Up ad then most likely you have enough views to sell ad space directly to the advertisers (or use another network like buy sell ads), and you can become a lot more profitable (and get more views) in the long run.
